Wild West Volunteer Form

We are looking forward to our Wild West Camp on August 25-28 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

We have opportunities in all sorts of areas.  Please look over the list below and check which area interests you!

Why is Camp Important?

Camp offers 12 concentrated hours of intentional relationship-building and spiritual teaching—equivalent to six months of Sunday School. In just four days, we’re able to make a deep and lasting impact on children’s lives, helping them understand who God is, how He sees them, and what it means to follow Him. It’s an incredible opportunity to plant seeds of faith that will grow for years to come.

Anyone over 18 years old working directly with children must be background checked per the policy set by the BCC Elders.

Youth are welcome!   If you need community service hour documentation, please just contact Melissa Cancro at melissa@bedfordcommunitychurch.  Melissa is happy to fill out forms or send a letter to fulfill this requirement.

Volunteer Positions

Wild West Camp 2025 – Volunteer Opportunities

We’re gearing up for an exciting week of fun, faith, and fellowship at Wild West Camp! Below are the volunteer teams and roles available. Whether you have a few hours or a few days to give, there’s a place for you to serve.

Note: If you're only available on certain days during camp, please indicate your availability in the Questions and Concerns section of the registration form

Decorating Team

Time Commitment: Low to Moderate
Help transform our Sanctuary, Fellowship Hall, and Children’s Discipleship Hallway into a Wild West adventure! Materials and design ideas are provided. Some tasks can be completed at home on your own schedule.

Publicity Team

Time Commitment: Low
Promote the event by hanging flyers throughout the community before camp begins. This is a simple yet vital role to help spread the word.

Worship Team

Time Commitment: High
Lead worship at the beginning and end of each camp day. Volunteers must be available for 2–3 pre-camp rehearsals and will learn the songs and motions in advance. This is a dynamic and joyful role that helps set the tone for the entire camp.

Check-In/Out Team

Time Commitment: Low to Moderate
Assist with daily camper check-in and check-out. Responsibilities include welcoming families, registering new campers, and distributing materials such as name tags and activity guides.

Station Leaders & Helpers

Time Commitment: Moderate to High
Stations include:

  • Bible Adventures

  • Missions

  • Crafts

  • Games

Station Leaders will receive a detailed guide and script to lead their station.
Station Helpers will support the leader by preparing materials, assisting campers, and ensuring a smooth flow of activities.

Group Leaders

Time Commitment: Moderate to High
Guide a group of campers through the daily schedule, escorting them to each station. Group Leaders encourage participation, build relationships, and help ensure a fun and safe experience for all.

Clean-Up Team

Time Commitment: Low to Moderate
Join us on Thursday after camp to help remove decorations and restore the church to its usual setup. A great opportunity for those who can't commit earlier in the week but still want to contribute.

If you're ready to saddle up and serve, we’d love to have you on the team! Let us know where you’d like to help.
